Headed back to the BVIs on June 20th at the crack of dawn – 5:30am departure requiring a 3:30am wake up. Vowed never to do that again either. So many travel lessons learned here. I hope you are paying attention.
Made it back to the BVIs by 6PM-ish. AND now it was time to ready the Salted Rim for our vacationers who would arrive on Sunday, June 26th – Elizabeth and Kirkland along with 11 others.
Three families to convene on 3 yachts: one monohull sailboat and two power cats.
Not to bore you but lots of prep went into readying the sailboat for guests. Put lots of stuff in our storage locker, made up the beds, provisioned, bought an extra ice chest and cleaned inside and out. Lots of trips to the Rite Way Grocery on property and managed to spill a cart and lost a brand new bottle of Pussers Rum and a Nice Cabernet. Oh Well -that can and will be replaced. New appreciation for the term “ship shape”.
Looking forward to welcoming Elizabeth, Kirkland, the Olsons and the Keeltys.
