We made our move in November of 2023. We transitioned to a 50 FT. Beneteau Swift Trawler.

We cannot tell you how many great memories we had with our Catalina 445 and we will miss her. We started considering a transition to a Trawler. Lisa was ready – but Kirk, a sailor at heart, had mixed feelings. At the end of the day, he was willing to shift for reasons of health / wellness for Lisa and a bit more safety for the grandkid(s) – Elle will be 2 in April 2024 and baby Perrett expected to arrive around May 3rd.
We have already made some great memories with the Trawler. Melissa, Jay and Elle spent a week with us in January (see BVI Experiences with the Perretts). AND, we have experienced some great sunsets and a full, magnificent rainbow.

Hello. Just saw your Salted Rim Trawler in port at Nanny Cay. Beautiful boat.
We too live in Austin area, so it caught my eye. We have just completed a one week charter on Cooper Penny around BVI. Great time.
Iām going to dig into your blog and see what I can learn. All the best. Larry & Terri Warnock (Lake LBJ).
