Recalling we only have 1/2 a windscreen as we sailed off of the ship, thinking- how bad can that be?…if the winds were 10-12 knots that would have been just fine.  However they were blowing about 25-35 knots with seas of 4-6 feet.  So about every 15 minutes, it felt like someone was dousing you with a 1/2 bucket of salt water when you least expected it – for 3 hours!  I now have a new appreciation for our windscreen. I am pretty sure when we purchased the sailboat, I questioned Kirk on why we needed one.

Customs and Immigrations – needed to make a pit stop in Sopers Hole which is the first point of entry to the BVIs which requires us to clear customs.  We picked up a mooring ball, put up our bright yellow quarantine flag and made our way over to Customs by dinghy.  Kirk fortunately had all of our paper work ready to go and in order.  EXCEPT for one thing – BVIs are very picky about their month, day and year sequence. It’s “day”, month and year. OKaaay!

For an office being the size of a Wendy’s, they managed to shuffle us to 4 different offices to present papers, pay fees and get the official stamps for entry and then back to our original Immigrations Guy –  Interesting flow (not)

Hopped back in our dinghy and back on Salted Rim. Onto Nanny Cay Marina.

En Route to Sopers Hole – The sea was Angry.
